Excellence in Cross-functional team collaboration

From an early exposure to New Products development, it became clear to Jaspal that traditional rivalries between functional areas were simply not going to work. The advent of ‘matrix’ organizations compounded matters.

In each assignment, the key question (`sink or swim together`) was squarely taken on. Soul-searching debates were followed by an effort to meticulously map the inter-dependencies to fix clear accountability and to create a transparent work culture. This enabled team energies to flow seamlessly across functional boundaries.

Group morale soared. Each resource was able to focus on what really mattered – i.e. delighting customers and creating a vital and flourishing organization.
